Counselling is a process, one step at a time. As a counsellor I will support you in finding clarity and the best solutions for what you need.
Having experienced a variety of challenges myself, I don’t judge a person’s choices and situations. I am acutely aware of how difficult it is sometimes to find the best coping strategy, healthy boundaries, self-confidence and the right measure of assertiveness.
The counselling process will focus on working through what is foremost for you at the moment, aiming towards improvement, meaning, clarity, healing. We will work together to develop a clear goal for your therapeutic journey, develop an understanding of your needs and challenges, and a practical vision in the strategies to achieve them.
Yes they are. However in cases of serious risk of harm, safeguarding issues or court orders, I might be forced to breach confidentiality. More details we will discuss in our first session and in our contract.
Of course. I also offer a 20 minute get-to-know session, telephone or zoom, where we will discuss any questions and concerns, your needs and expectations and how can we make therapy work for you in the best possible way. This session is free of charge.
